The first charcoal cheese to be created, this cheese is both extremely creamy whilst maintaining the strong taste you look for in a mature. It’s made my Michael lee in Yorkshire using charcoal from the Featherstone mines. Often cheese is coated in ash to improve the flavour but this is the first one where the charcoal has been embedded into the cheese. A truly unique and special cheese that is a must-try and a real talking point!!
